Some People Hurt

Some People Hurt

Some People Hurt

Some people hurt, and that is the truth....
but to be certain one must see the root....
the problem lies deeper than one day in despair....
one must rip up the ground, to see what is there.....
did someone take a drink, instead of going to work?.......
did one lose his family, because he caused so much hurt?.....
is it easier to beg for food, than grow your own.?.....
and do you take the first bite, leaving your child hungry and alone?
For these people, I do resign,
to limit my help, by design....
and I chose to save, a difference to make....
for those who truly lack, for their children to save....
I'd help a man down on his luck .....
who is willing to walk, and eat, instead of drive a new truck.....
I'd help a single mom in tears...
do all I can to ease her fears.....
as I watch her feed her hungry baby,
i'd be far more likely to try like crazy....
to give what I can to help her up.....
and thank God again for my full cup.....
because We should not envy the cup fuller than our own....
nor do they owe us tribute or alms....
but when a heart is true, and plays no games.....
may those with more, seek to help others in pain....
and it is my sincere hope and prayer...
to those who are in real need out there...
that everyone who becomes a beggar for the cause of sloth....
will reap their own, and just, rewards....
that the benevolence would flow right past,
and reach the REAL ones in need....at last!

What is a Wife

Some People Hurt

Some People Hurt

What is a wife, I have pondered
more than once or twice
Is she someone who splits the rent
but doesn't act very nice?
Is a wife the one to whom
I deposit my weekly pay?
Is a wife the one who doesn't want to
hear about my day

No, I have learned in a few short years
what a wife is all about
and it does not include fussing or fighting
or trying to tune me out
My wife is the one who cries
when I don't have the strength
My wife is the one who believes
there is potential inside of me

My wife is the one who holds my hand
when I rail against this world
who has patience and love that comes with time
and the passion, heart, and spark of a younger girl
My wife has taught me many things
about life and about myself
she has lead me through many trials
she is always there to help

So on this, her special day
I want to give her pause
to let her know, I love her so
without condition, without cause
See Dianna could have chosen
another to share her love
but I was the one that she picked
and I thank the Lord above
For Dianna, you are so much more
and I love you without end
You are my wife, you have my heart
and forever, my best friend!

A Messy Moment

Some People Hurt

Another Great Poem Coming

The year has been perfect
positivity is growing bolder
I find my dreams are closer
as I cherish growing older

but last night, I was hit
by a tragedy that could crush
my washing machine was overflowing
and my toilet would not flush

The line that runs from my house
to the tank full of septic
seems to be too full of poop and goo
which grows my ulcer peptic

but before the devil beat me down
God sent two angels my life to sway
my wife to dry my crying eyes
and Carroll Chambers to wash the poop away!!!

14 January 2016

In honor of my wife, DeeDee Cooper, and Carroll Chambers at Chambers Construction & Septic Services
