What a beautiful morning
Sun shining, sky so blue
Daffodils are blooming
Birds building their nests too.
Mother nature awakening
Spring is in the air
Time of rebirth of nature
New life is everywhere
Where does the time go
Yesterday dreaming of snow
Summer brings the sunshine
gardens to plow and sow
Soon autumn will be upon us
With her colors so vibrantly bright
Crisp days of apple picking
Walks on a starry night
Winter comes along
Sometimes with a punch
Never know if snow will fall
Or if you will get that much
Today I am thankful
For the sunshine God has given
And for the rain at night
That keeps everything living
Seasons come and seasons go
So make memories to carry along
No matter what time or day it is
Fill your heart and life with song
Listen to the birds in the morning
Crickets as you lay down at night
Know that God is truly watching
And making sure everything is right
The sun is shining this morning
Thank you God for another day
I will be thankful and rejoice in it
And for another, tonight I will pray.

Crystal diamonds dangle on the branches
Dazzling their brilliance through the frigid moonlit sky.
Coated with snow and stiletto edged icicles.
The thin tree twigs elongate tiny tender tentacles
Unblemished in the luminosity of the wintry moon and outlying stars
They glisten and light up the snow cloaked commons like a bridal veil
Wedded to a pale perpetual phantom of the darkness.
The delicate snow splinters as if in a split second
I would vanish within this ice-cold crystal cascade country
I pull my scarf up around my face and place my nimble fingers in my pockets
Wishing he was here to share this moonlit moment with me
A warm fire, warm embraces, holding hands, hidden from the storm
His loving warmth to thaw my motionless mind and frozen heart.
In the Georgia pines, in summertime
You won’t have rain and a cool breeze
On the coast of Maine, you’ll get the rain
But you won’t find you a shady tree
East coast blues you hear along the coast
Clambakes up north with a southern pig roast
Ocean breeze or muddy rivers flow
Home sweet home to those who know
Living in the country means many different things
Backyard BBQ’s on your front porch swing
Volleyball and badminton played upon the beach
Fresh squeezed lemonade or tea that is made sweet
Seeking the beautiful colors of fall
Burnt orange, crimson red, yellow
Leaf peepers we have heard them called
To the mountains of Vermont many will go
Oohing and awing these leaves as they fall
Raking and jumping in the ones down below
Family fun making scarecrows comes next
Never know what one is to expect
As mother nature displays her colorful show
Carving pumpkins to place near the tree
With it's light glowing for trick or treat
With children all dressed up ready to go
Autumn brings with it a great mystery
Circle of life to enjoy and to see
Getting ready for the coming of snow
spring will turn to fall
in just no time at all
the night before the dawn
the rain before the storm
the salt before the sea
your life just a dream
time to start living
in this world you are given
soon summer will show
winters new fallen snow
live your magical life
shadows under moonlight
life goes round and round
carousels lights and sounds
in just no time at all
spring will turn to fall.
Monday morning sunshine
Cool air on my face
Snow is again falling
On some other place
First day of spring
Confusion of nature
Flowers once blooming
Weather couldn't be stranger.
Shorts on last week
Sweater today
Yesterday December
Tomorrow May
Mysteries of this world
Never cease to amaze
From that first snow of winter
To hot, humid summer days.
Gazing at the stars in the sky
Be it summer, winter, spring or fall
What wonder fills my heart
As I thank God for it all.
