In Memory of...

A candle is lit

Within our heart

For a life we have lost

And now we are apart

Our lives were filled with joy

Love and true pleasure

You truly were

A God-given treasure

In the arms of our Father

We know you are now

Holding onto this thought

Makes it easier somehow

God picked a flower

Picked it too soon

The flower He picked

Was not in full bloom

Your memory we’ll cherish

As to the Lord we do send

Our precious child

To now bloom in His garden

We embrace in love

As we gather on this sad day

We hold onto your memory

As we now bow our heads to pray

While we have gathered here

And we stand side by side

We know life is eternal

You’ve not truly died

Time will one day reunite us

When we’ve lived out our years

Then in heaven with the Father

Joy will replace our sad tears

Your darling little girl

Was with you just a while

She will live on in your heart

Each time you remember her smile.
