My Thoughts

What is Love

WHAT IS LOVE -- Love fills your heart and your mind with memories of a lifetime. Memories that bring new life, new meaning to the world around you. As for your eyes, love is blind. Love knows no limits, it reaches higher than the mountains, the sky is no limit, more vast than the oceans, and as pure as the new-fallen snow. Blind to jealousy, blind to envy, blind to blame, love moves beyond, needs no sight, needs not to hear, needs not to speak. True love is felt in the heart and carried in your soul. When you can feel this kind of love, then you will know the answer to "What is Love".

Language of Love

By Luck or By Chance

By Luck or By Chance

The bounty of summer, ripe and so fresh
June takes it's bride from her mothers nest
language of love in natures beauty abounds
love can be felt and heard in the sounds
silence of nite, heavens stars cast their light
lovers hold hands, romancing delight
moonbeams and shadows of days end is near
crashing of waves may be heard crystal clear
summer night breeze blows gently on skin
where earlier heat from the sunshine had been
barefoot in sandcastles left on the beach
high tide in the morning their walls it will reach
crashing the ramparts of the fortress defend
left lonely to gather the salts inquisite blend
language of nature speaks of love's burning desire
hand in hand lovers roasting meals by a fire
blazing of heat, cool off on the shore
summertime lovers wanting for more
harvest of autumn will encompass them soon
where a seed has been planted within her womb
true love will then shine in the eyes of a child
a reminder of summers love having gone wild
the bounty of summer, ripe and so fresh
June takes it's bride from her mothers nest.

By Luck or By Chance

By Luck or By Chance

By Luck or By Chance

When you think of love
Is it a gamble
A roll of the dice
The luck at the table?
Or is it the hook
At the end of the line
Cast out unknowing
What you may find?
Perhaps it's a ticket
You happened to buy
Cannot win if you do not
At least give it a try.

I say love is neither
By luck or by chance
It touches your heart
You learn how to dance
It opens your eyes
To things you once missed
Opens your heart
Nothing is better than this.

When you think of love
Do you look with your eyes
Listen for whispers
Remove your disguise?
For love will not happen
If a chance you don't take
Not with a ticket
Or a day at the lake
True love will happen
When two hearts will share
A whisper, a moment
Two souls they now bare.

Love's Labyrinth

By Luck or By Chance

I Just Want to Love You

Love
lathers like luminous light
lost literally like legend labyrinth
leaping loudly like ladylike lilies
loud lessons learned later
lame laden language lowers loves loyalty
lounging lengthy lace
luxury lavish looks
Leaves lonely lost

I Just Want to Love You

Love & Life's Fairy-Tale

I Just Want to Love You

I'll give you everything I have
I'll give you good, try to avoid the bad
I'll give you rainbows on a cloudy day
nothing will chase my dreams away

I'll be there for those stormy nights
I'll help the wrong, try to make it right
I'll give you sunshine on a rainy day
nothing will take my dreams away

I just want to love you,
today, tomorrow, always
I just want to love you,
Don't take my dreams away

We'll love, we'll spend our days together
We'll find a way through stormy weather
We'll live, each day as if it is our last
We'll go to the future, letting go of the past.

Love & Life's Fairy-Tale

Love & Life's Fairy-Tale

Love & Life's Fairy-Tale

I once believed life was a fairy tale
Now I have a real story to tell
Love does not come wrapped up in a box
Does not always match like a pair of socks

Sometimes it's shaken, sometimes it's stirred
But in every moment, real love will be heard
Be it that special moment,  candlelight dinner
or a lover's quarrel...there's really no winner

Love will speak loudly through all of your days
If in your heart you believe, love always stays.
I once believed love was wishing on a star
Now I know that it finds you wherever you are

Love does not know distance and time stands not still
But love will find you if it is God's will
Sometimes we ignore it, that word that we hear
When the voice of God whispers into our ear

We think that we know for us what is right
And sometimes we pass by things that we might
Wish that we'd listened some time before
When our Savior came knocking upon our heart's door

So, when you think life is passing you by
God's watching as you give love a try
Listen with your heart so one day you can tell
That love you now turned into your fairy-tale

Young Love

Step Out

A Night to Last my Whole Life

A Night to Last my Whole Life

A song, a boy, a girl, a dance
Willing to give true love a chance
Step out on the dance floor and hold on tight
Foxtrot and Waltz all through the night

A hug, a kiss, good-bye, hello
Wanting to stay, not wanting to go
Should he leave her here at her door
Or should he walk through asking for more

A boy or girl, husband and wife
All willing and ready to start a new life
Won't be more dancing or fun to be had
She'll be a Mom, he'll be a Dad

A hope, a dream, in one's little face
Precious is she in her ribbon and lace
Step out into the world now surrounded by love
Walk hand in hand in a world only dreamed of

A song, a boy, a girl and a dance
Dad walks her down the aisle to romance
Step out of her home a new life to begin
Memories now live where she had once been.

A Night to Last my Whole Life

A Night to Last my Whole Life

A Night to Last my Whole Life

Your touch is like heaven to me
Your kiss makes it hard to breathe..
never knew someone could hold me
and take my breath away
And now you tell me
That you cannot stay…

When you walked up to me at That Place
I seen the glow on your face
Your hair shimmered against the neon lights
You placed your hand on mine
My heart and mind lost track of time
As we drank our way into the night

Your touch was like heaven to me
Then your kiss made it hard to breathe
Never knew someone could hold me
and take my breath away
And now you tell me
That you cannot stay….

Your lips did not say those words
words my ears have not heard
a note was all you left for me
Said thank you for the night
Now you must let me be free
You made everything just right

How is it an angel came to me
and her leaving set my heart free…

Her touch was like heaven to me
Her kiss left me so I could not breathe
Now I knew there could be someone
to take my breath away
I’d been so lonely, come undone
since the day you went away.

She was an angel sent to me last night
An angel sent to make everything right
Her touch, her kiss, her loving ways
Will stay with me for all my life
In my heart she’ll always stay.

The Wedding Dance

A Night to Last my Whole Life

Loves Spoken Silence

The Wedding Dance
The dance of the day
Bride and Groom
As the two of them sway
There is joy in the room
Then what happens
When they get home

Does the dance end
Or does it go on?

Marriage is a dance
The two sway together
Keep perfect beat
In the worst of weather
But there are times
When two left feet are found
Stepping on toes
Every time they turn around

It is easy

To get this dance back
Takes time and patience
To get it back on track
Marriage is a dance
You may stumble and fall
Listen to your hearts
The love that it calls

You'll dance once again
Both in perfect rhythm
The way it is meant
When loves sent from heaven
Never give up
On the dance in your life
It does not end that first day
Of becoming husband and wife.

Loves Spoken Silence

Future Home of Another Great Poem

Loves Spoken Silence

I never thought of letting go to hang on
Or that silence could be a love song
That two could be one and one could be two
If only Loves silence has spoken with you

Never thought of loosing in order to gain
or that tears could be freedom from pain
That white could be black and black could be white
If only Loves silence casts its shadows of light

Loves spoken silence, heard only by a few
loves spoken silence drifts between me and you
open your heart, close your eyes and begin
to hear loves spoken silence speak from within.
